RICHARD HUTTEN is one of the most collected living designers of our time, well-known for his conceptual and playful designs. The WOLK is a sculptural cloud shaped lounge chair, almost surreal in appearance and an ergonomic triumph.
Rotterdam based HUTTEN is a true innovator, he’s established as one of the leading international figures in his field, continuously pushing the boundaries of design. He is a key exponent of “Droog Design” in which he has been involved since its start in 1993, making him one of the main founders of the famous Dutch Design movement.
His impressive list of clients are all leaders in their field and include Moooi, Kvadrat, Moroso, Karl Lagerfeld, Christofle, OMA/Rem Koolhaas and HRH Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands. His work is in numerous private and permanent collections, including over 40 museums: MoMA New York, Victoria & Albert Museum London, Chicago Art Institute, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Vitra Museum, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Design Museum London, Design Museum Gent, etc. His work has been extensively published including world leading magazines such as Domus, Abitare, Interni, NYTimes, Washington Post, Wallpaper, Icon, Frame, Mark, The International Herald Tribune, Axis, Elle Decor.
